(Admissions of UG Programmes for the year 2024-25 will be based on the combined marks of General Studies and Legal Studies of CUET UG conducted by NTA) In 2012, GGV began its first academic session of the School of Law with a mission to pioneer legal education. In the academic world, the School of Law aims to stand at the forefront of legal academia that integrates international and national standards and also provides an environment for creative and dynamic legal acumen. Our accomplished and diverse faculty, which comprises preeminent professors, scholars, and practitioners from around India, provide our students with a wealth of knowledge, experience, and diverse perspectives in the classroom through a robust curriculum that blends rigorous coursework, hands-on clinic experience, and dynamic moot court competitions. Currently, the School of Law offers B.A.LL.B. and B.Com.LL.B. (5-year integrated courses) recognised and approved by the Bar Council of India & LL.M. (Self-Finance Mode) and Ph.D. programmes that are recognised and approved by the University Grant Commission. These programmes are designed to cater to the interests of various students while emphasising learning and knowledge of law and legal processes to serve society in the field of law by developing skills in regard to advocacy, legal services, legislation, parliamentary practice, law reforms, and such other matters. Our School of Law is proud to introduce you to the Moot Court Committee and Legal Aid Cell. The Committee and Cell are both dedicated to nurturing advocacy skills through comprehensive training sessions and informative workshops. Our primary focus is on professionalism and ethics, ensuring the development of competent legal professionals. By encouraging a culture of mooting, our Moot Court committee seeks to establish an atmosphere that values quality in legal practice, cooperation, and teamwork. Recently, in an effort to give marginalised groups in society "access to justice," the Department of Justice has approved the establishment of the Pro-bono Club. Also, reading and discussing classic literature is something that develops new ideas and provides students with the opportunity to liberate their thoughts. While keeping this in mind, we are soon going to establish a Literary Society

To inculcate an expectational research skill with a sense of professionalism among the students and make them self-reliant.

Achievements of Department

The School of Law at GGV continuously strives to reach a new height of excellence. Our numerous noteworthy accomplishments highlight the success of our alumni and students. A significant number of our graduates have triumphed in the halls of the judiciary and courtroom and are now practicing in the high courts, or Supreme Court, while demonstrating their expertise and dedication to the legal profession. Additionally, many of our alumni have made outstanding contributions to legal academia and other fields; among these, some are still working with various different branches or departments of government on issues that involve their expertise both academically and professionally. The School of Law has a rich debating tradition and culture, which results in our students actively participating and contributing to high-level victories at national and international United Nations and Youth Parliament competitions. In addition to our academic programme, we also work to develop our students' understanding of the practical application of the law. This understanding eventually leads to our students' amazing triumphs and unwavering perseverance in moot court battles organised by prestigious universities. And also, the accomplishments of our students extend beyond the legal field; they also made significant strides in art and culture as well. Notably, at a prestigious university in Thailand, one of our students competed internationally and performed the Bharatnatyam dance. This esteemed award not only honours student remarkable prowess and commitment, but also highlights the law school's encouraging environment and our commitment to pushing students beyond their comfort zones to foster their intellectual and personal development
