The department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in 1997. The department is committed to provide quality higher education on the field of Computer Science and Engineering with the understanding, knowledge and practical competence to participate in a long revolution. The knowledge will enable students to understand and foresee the great changes and challenges that Computer Science presents to the world, now and in the future. Besides teaching there is also doubt removal session. The Department has specialized laboratories such as NETWORKING LAB, ADVANCE PROGRAMING LAB, DATABASE LAB, PROJECT LAB, DIGITAL LOGIC AND DESIGN LAB etc. and well-furnished Classrooms and Smart room. The Department provides opportunities for carrying project by students under joint supervision of the faculty and experts from industry. The Department has involved in providing training in reputed government and public sectors like STPI, DRDO Delhi, Microsoft Hyderabad, CMC Kolkata, Orbit IT Hyderabad, S.E.C.L., B.S.N.L., Indian Railways, Bokaro Steel Plant & Bhilai Steel Plant (SAIL), and Software Tech & ISM Bangalore. Our students are working in reputed private, public and government organizations. Some of them are Infosys, Wipro, Persistent, IBM, TCS, Mahindra BT, Syntel, Satyam, BSNL, NTPC, INFLIBNET.

FACULTY ACHIEVEMENTS:

1. Dr. Manish Shrivastava, Assistant Professor, delivered a Lecture on “Network Security” in a seminar organized by Laxmi Chand Institute of Technology, Bilaspur and Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai under TEQIP-3 on April 2019.

2. Mr. Vaibhav Kant Singh, Assistant Professor got BEST PAPER AWARD in International Conference ICICCT-2016 Held in Delhi. The Paper title was “Proposing an Ex-NOR Solution Using ANN”.

3. Mr. Vaibhav Kant Singh is having a PATENT Titled “Method for Migration of Session among Cipher Machines Using Lagrange Interpolation”. Published on date 14-01-2022.

4. Mr. Vaibhav Kant Singh, Assistant Professor successfully qualified NPTEL-AICTE Faculty Development Program [Funded by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India] On Topic Cloud Computing during Aug-Oct 2021.

5. Mr. Vaibhav Kant Singh, Assistant Professor successfully qualified NPTEL-AICTE Faculty Development Program [Funded by the MoE, Government of India] On Topic Introduction to Soft Computing during Jan-Mar 2022.

Year -2021

1. Mr. Amogh Pete, Mr. Himanshu Gupta and Mr. Shubham Varshney, students of B.Tech 3rd year secured second runners up position in CODESTREET 21 organized by American Express out of 7903 teams which fetched them campus intern opportunity at American Express in Summer 2022

2. Ms. Ruhi Awasthi and Mr. Deepesh Garg students of B.Tech third year got second prize in QWER Hacks 21 (A MLH Hackathon) organized by University of California, Los Angeles.

3. Mr. Abhishek Kumar Gupta, student of B.Tech 4th year got selected as the only student from Chhattisgarh state and completed a 2 months internship by MEITY(Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology) under Digital India project specific to Language Technology.

4. Mr. Abhijit Tripathy, student of B.Tech 3rd year, got his project selected and featured in India International Science Festival 2021(IISF 2021) organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Earth Science of Government of India in association with Vijnana Bharati, under top 200 projects out of 1200 shortlisted and 10000 participating projects.
